Other Allied Health staff
Further allied health staff, currently alone in their departments, round out the multi-disciplinary team. With a variety of interests, they bring their skills to assist in the vision of providing high quality care to our remote, rural communities.
Stephanie Benn
Speech Therapist & Audiologist Stephanie has the distinction of being the first ever speech therapist and audiologist to work at Zithulele. She graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand and has remained here after completing her community service. Her passions include hearing screening and paediatric communication development. She’s also looking forward to learning isiXhosa herself. |
Saskia Lilienfeld
Speech Therapist Saskia qualified at UCT and joins us for community service. Her professional passion is to see people with disabilities as people, helping them reintegrate socially by restoring communication with family and friends. At Zithulele, the social integration that happens around our cake traditions has met her approval too! |
Ashleigh Moolman
Dietician Ashleigh graduated from Stellenbosch University and has boldly come rural for her community service. Running (indeed in many ways we're still setting up) a dietetics department is a challenge, but her interests in childhood nutrition in particular make her well suited for it! Away from work Ashleigh's talents include the piano and sewing. |
